A Warming Pad for Plants?

This time of year can be quite challenging. I need to start seedlings, but it's never easy when you continue to have frosty nights. The answer....a heating pad for plants! 😄

Well, it's not the kind of heating pad you're thinking about. It's a warming pad designed for starter plants so that they can hopefully germinate faster. The ideal temperature for seeds to germinate is around 70 degrees. In early spring here in Kentucky that just doesn't happen until much later. By then it can be too late for several plants to get an early start. It is however, ideal weather for tulips. I'm going to include a picture of mine in the front flower bed. (I'm pretty proud of them!) 😉

It's always possible some of you have have heard of this style of planting or even done this before, but it's new to me. The beauty of this system is that the containers have lids that can be removed when needed. If the lid is necessary, it has a turn dial on top allowing oxygen to enter and excessive warmth to escape. Let me know your thoughts. Wish me luck! I'll let you know how it goes. 🤞😁
