What a whirlwind the past two weeks have been! Last week we needed to be in Washington DC to attend a funeral of a very dear friend of ours. That was and still is a very sad thing for us to deal with. On a happier note, we took an extra day to do some touring while we were there so that made the time a little less dreary.
We returned home and have been going nonstop ever since. I have so much to plant right now and I'm wondering how I'm ever going to get it all in! 😜 Fortunately, I have several weeks to accomplish getting it all done.
Speaking of planting...some of you might remember all of the problems I had last year with rabbits eating practically everything I put in the ground. 😡 I vowed that this year things were going to be different.....(I hope so anyway!) 🤞🙏🤞🙏 Yesterday my new help arrived. Yay!! 😁 We adopted two female kittens, (they are almost a year old) that happen to be sisters. Their names are Callie and Carly. They are feral cats that we obtained from the humane society, so in the coming weeks they will be adjusting to their new home in our barn. For the next 3 to 4 weeks they will have to stay in a comfortable pen I have set up for them in the barn until their internal GPS lets them know that this is where they are supposed to stay. Hopefully it works! I would hate for them to decide they didn't like it here. 🙀😂 Wish us luck! I'll keep you posted on how they are doing and how well they are doing at their job. 😉
