šŸPear Butter 🧈

We are so excited! A few years ago, (about 3 give or take) we planted several pear trees. Young fruit trees take a while to start producing. In the beginning your tree might produce one or two pears or apples or whatever kind of tree you have. You're always excited to see those first fruits, but wait anxiously for the years to come when your tree is loaded with gems. This year was that year!! 😁

We harvested several pounds (I've forgotten how many....it was a lot!) of pears from the trees. Yay!!! I had never made pear butter before but thought I would give it a whirl. I looked up several recipes taking ideas from different ones and then I put my own spin on it. Success! I hate to brag.....but I think it turned out pretty great. My first recipe didn't make as many jars as I would have liked, but it's a learning process. I'm anxious to try it again and make several more jars in the next batch. I'll let you know how it goes!
