Happy New Year!

We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas season and a great start to the new year. Has the dieting started? Mine has. 😕

It's the winter season so growth on the farm is in its dormant state. That doesn't mean there isn't work going on though. In addition to cleaning out garden's, in recent weeks I planted several rows of gourmet garlic. Fingers crossed, they will do well and we will have several pounds of beautiful garlic bulbs by the end summer. 🤞

This week I pulled the canner out and made more jam. I decided to try something new. I combined peaches and strawberries to make a new flavor I haven't done before. We took a taste test.....I think it turned out pretty good! During peach season when our trees were loaded, we ate all that we could and the remainder had to be frozen. It's so nice when you can pull stored fruit from your freezer and turn it into scrumptious delights! Canning season is definitely NOT over. I will be making a lot more jam in the coming weeks. I'll be sure to keep you posted on any new creations I come up with. I'll be honest with you though.....it doesn't make it easy to stick to that new years resolution of cutting back on the calories! 😜 Good luck on the calorie counting and Happy New Year!
